1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using DemetraGarden (demetragarden.co.uk), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What DemetraGarden is

DemetraGarden is an online garden planning tool. It provides a plant database, sowing and harvest calendar, garden design canvas, journal, and related features. It is provided as-is for personal and small business use.

Plant care information is provided as general gardening guidance only. Always verify sowing and cultivation advice against your specific climate, soil, and local conditions. We are not responsible for crop failures or plant losses.

3. Your account

• You must provide a valid email address when registering.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• You must not share your account or use the service on behalf of others without their consent.
• One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the site's security.
• Scrape or automatically harvest data from the service without permission.
• Use the service to harass, impersonate, or harm others.

5. Your content

Content you create (journal entries, garden plans, photos) remains yours. By storing it with us, you grant us permission to host and display it to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not share it publicly without your permission.

Business accounts may share garden plans with their customers; this sharing is under your control.

6. Business accounts

Business accounts offer additional features for garden professionals. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store and share plans for clients, and for complying with any applicable data protection obligations toward your own customers.

7. Availability

We aim to keep DemetraGarden available but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We may need to take the service offline for maintenance. We will try to give notice when possible but are not obligated to do so.

8. Limitation of liability

DemetraGarden is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data, crop failures, financial losses, or other damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us, which for free accounts is zero.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will note the "last updated" date at the top of this page.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
